Though things look grim for foreign tourists, domestic tourism is showing some promise, as recent polls taken by the TAT intelligence centre has discovered from its survey of 1,141 respondents shows that Thailand is the fourth most popular destination for 2021 just after USA, South Africa and Canada.
Over the month of October over 1200 travellers were surveyed between the age of 18 to 65 and their results show an increasing preference for outdoor activities showing that 2021 is going to be quite the active year with Thailand in the top four most popular destinations. This, in conjunction with Thailand’s ranking as the top country among 180 nations who are in the steady recovery from the Global COVID-19 Index.
