“Leave the monarchy alone” – a small gist of what the Minister of Digital Economy and Society stated regarding the peaceful protests against the respected Head of State of Thailand recently. Thus far, all protests and rallies between royalists and oppositions have been peaceful and without incident.
According to the Minister Buddhipongse Punnakanta the discontent and varied political and personal views of people are normal, it is expected of the people and the government to uphold the duty of protecting the namesake and avoid offending the Monarchy.
