The trifecta of Mastercard, TAT and UTU, a borderless reward app, are coming together to help increase sales of the year’s Amazing Thailand Grand Sale which hopes to generate an upwards of 100 million Thai Baht in the form of revenue for many of the struggling local businesses.
According to the TAT Governor, Mr Yuthasak Supasorn, the pairing of UTU and Mastercard helps to create incentive and convenience for holidaymakers and shoppers by encouraging the local market of resident ex-pats and locals to start spending more as there is now more on offer in terms of discounts, and benefits which can be found among 10,000 restaurants, retailers, and leisure venues, including accommodation providers within Thailand.
With how the COVID-19 is continuing to impact the tourism industry of Thailand, this can hopefully revitalize the sector to once again be on the road to recovery.
